Su Ann wrote to me sometime back asking for help for a kitten who was trapped in a drain. We tried and one of our volunteers went to the site itself but couldn’t get into the drain. Subsequently, the kitten got out by herself or maybe the mother-cat got her out. The mother-cat was also quite fierce so it wasn’t possible to catch her for spaying.
Now, the the mother has given birth to another litter. It’s only been 3 months – this is how fast unspayed free-roaming cats breed.

Sorry to bother you again… but the stray momma cat just had a new litter of kittens.. in my garden. She is under the tree in my garden with 5 kittens right now. I just noticed them there this evening because my dog was excited about something under the tree so when I went to investigate, I saw the kittens.
They are only a few feet away from my veranda, so I left a big pail with some bedding inside and food + water under there in hopes that the mom cat will decided to move her kittens there instead, because right now they are exposed to rain. She is very fierce and I can’t get anywhere near her or the kittens.
Do you have any ideas what I should do? The kittens are maybe 2 weeks old–they are crawling around and eyes are half open. I don’t mind taking care of them till they are 8 weeks old and can be rehomed, but I have no idea how I’m going to catch the mother cat. She hisses at me whenever I get near her or the kittens. Ideally I would like to catch the mother cat once the kittens are 8 weeks old so that I can bring her to be spayed.

First things first, the mother-cat must be allowed to nurse her kittens until they are weaned off.

Maybe the mama cat had bitter experiences with human and that had caused her to be fierce at human sight.
Talking about black & white, there is a new cat at my area, black & white as well. My mom spotted her from our balcony and told me to bring down some food for her as she seemed very hungry.
The cat was quite tame and ate hungrily from my hand. Poor thing, not eaten for days, I suppose. When I patted and tried to carry her, I noticed a wound on her back.
I carried her to my house where she started hissing when she saw my own cats. I quickly brought her into my room and my mom helped me to pour some "Wild Pigeon" brand oil. Only then I noticed a big wound at the joint of her front paw. It was very bad & we poured some oil there too and released her.
She is a female cat, maybe 2 yrs old. In time to come, she will start mating and bear kitten. If there is anyone who can provide transport, I will catch her and send her for spaying. I hope Dr Chan Kah Yein will help me with the sponsoring for spaying the cat.
