From Huey:
I live in Tanjung Bungah/Fettes Park area, Penang. We saw this male dog roaming on the next street of our place last night, and we thought it’s someone’s dog. Tonight when I came back, Wah told me this fella has been roaming along our street for the entire evening. So I approached him, and I think he’s a lost dog. He has a chain, with a lock around his neck, and also a faded tag with Chinese word ‘Hock’ (福) on it (not very clear in the photo). Very friendly, even licked me. I brought him some water and food. He finished the water, but sniffed around and didn’t want to touch the food – probably on a home-cooked diet?
It’s already very late when I approached him so I can only tell that he is black, probably with some grey/white fur in between. These are the best photos I can get. I’ll be working over the weekend, morning till late night so I’ll see if I can get a clearer photos. In the meantime, if anyone know the owner (or if you are the owner), I can be reached at chunhuey01@gmail.com . I can’t keep him in the house because of family restriction, but I’ll keep an eye on him and feed him whenever possible.
Thanks!
Huey

On our way back today we saw this dog in the house of a neighbour 2 streets down! This neighbour is quite known for her kindness, at least to us because we have seen her keeping strays at her place. There’s a ‘samseng’ dog who loves to lepak around the area, used to be the dog of her neighbour next few doors, and always refused to go back to his owner’s house. She ended up adopting him I think, keeping him at her place and bringing him out – although sometimes this fella still run out. She probably saw this black dog the night after I last seen him and decided to keep him. I’ll see if I happen to bump into her, I’ll have a chat with her! 😀
