Dear Dr. Chan,

I would like to apply for medical subsidy for Houdini , the stray cat that has sporotrichosis.

It has been 2 weeks now that Houdini has been living in his lovely big cage, with no chance of escape. But im happy to say that he has settled in,and happier still to share that he ‘s on his way to recovery.

He looks so much better now, his wounds are slowly healing and drying up and he has a fantastic appetite too.

I know it’s going to be a while before he’s completely out of the woods, and when he is , it’s neutering time for him.

I have posted the form and the vets receipt .

Attached are photos of Houdini before treatment and on the road to recovery..

Thank you very much
susan

We wish to thank our reader (anonymity requested) who offered help and advice for Houdini’s case. She also sponsored this brand new 3-tiered cage for Houdini.

Thank you very much!

Good job ! for both the caregiver, the cage sponsor and Houdini . I also learned Sporanox goes well with some high fat food. High fat food like butter, cheese or liverwurst (liver sausage) in order to improve drug absorption. Below the link for above info (http://www.wedgewoodpetrx.com/learning-center/medication-information-for-pet-and-horse-owners/itraconazole-for-dogs-and-cats.html ). My cats like cheese, BUT can only give little bit because it is made from milk and have digestive upset with diarrhea. But we need that for the absorption of the medicine.

Hope Houdini on his speedy recovery.
