I suppose some of it may apply to dogs too!

Hi Dr Chan, This was exactly the approach taken by papa and mama when they first brought Hazel home-ngiao. They made sure they both played with me first, then they take turns to play with Hazel. It tired them out a lot though and mama grew eye bags from the lack of sleep, partially caused by work and having to play with me and Hazel separately-ngiao. They also made sure that Hazel was safely in a cage whenever I’m allowed into the room to meet her-ngiao. But Hazel smelt so nice and we got along quite fine rather fast, much to papa’s and mama’s relief. :3
Hi Oreo, Hmm…in your (ahem!) professional opinion as a cat, do you think I could integrate Ginger into Bunny’s Place? Ginger is dying to get into Bunny’s Place and be friends, but I think Indy, Cow and Bunny do not share the sentiment at all. Not at all.
Hi Dr Chan, I’m sure Indy, Cow and Bunny would have been familiar with Ginger’s scent by now-ngiao but you have said that Indy is a mad one so introducing Ginger might be risky for now. Maybe you could try putting Ginger inside Pole’s condo with a towel or two covering the top of the condo-ngiao so that in case Ginger gets scared, he can hide up there? Then supervise the interaction between Ginger and the inside gang-ngiao until you feel confident that Ginger can be let out from Pole’s condo without getting in harm’s way? Also, when you let Ginger out from Pole’s condo and back to the outside of Bunny’s Place, you can let the rest go into Pole’s condo to inspect Ginger’s scent? And never let Ginger be the first to sniff at the other’s butts. It should be the other way around, let Indy sniff Ginger first-ngiao.
Thanks very much, Oreo. The trouble with Cow and Indy is that both are mad. Yes, they are both mad, so you can make them sign a contract and they will still break it whenever they like. And Ginger thinks the whole world is nice and rosy. And I’m not at home to monitor them all the time, so that’s risky. Bunny is also FIV+ and so is Tiger, but Tiger is, of course, not going to do anything harmful to Ginger since Tiger and Ginger get along perfectly outside.
It’s the two mad fellows that I’m worried about. They are just…mad. Plain mad.
