Have a healthy meatless day!
I really like two youtube doctors who talk about health: Dr Jason Fung and Dr William Li. Here’s an article that might be useful to all of us: https://www.cnet.com/…/foods-may-decrease-risk-cancer/ A tip I learnt yesterday: Always eat the whole food, not juices, not even smoothies and probably not powders. Eat the whole food. Reason: The sugar…

Happy Meatless Saturday!
This is today’s lunch at Vitafoods, Subang Jaya. It’s Sweet and Sour Cranberry Mushroom with vegetables. I requested no rice so the plate of rice is replaced wth another plate of vegetables. The healthy art of eating is to eat up all the obvious vegetables first. Like this. Then, only the protein. And last (and…

Happy Meatless Friday with a moringa breakfast!
I’ve learnt about the bountiful benefits of the moringa plant so we managed to get two saplings about a month ago and planted them in pots. They are both growing very well. After learning to identify the leaves, we noticed at least five moringa trees in our neighbourhood, by the roadside. They aren’t very tall…

Happy Meatless Monday!!
Here we go again, another Monday and another good day to save the animals….by not eating them. The photo below is not my breakfast today. It was lunch on some other day. I’m still doing intermittent fasting and I don’t eat breakfast until much, much later. These are Kampung Harvest eggs where the hens live…

Happy Meatless Saturday!
Nothing new compared with yesterday’s, but just to share a few new practices I’ve only recently discovered (silly me!). I’m using fresh turmeric again, and of course, with black pepper to enhance the bioavailability of the turmeric. Lots of garlic too. I don’t cook the Chinese (wok hei) style – that’s not healthy. So I…

Happy Meatless Friday!
Today’s breakfast! There is no oil at all, and I used garlic and fresh turmeric, hence the yell0w colour in the gravy, which I thickened with the green jackfruit flour. This is how I consume the green jackfruit flour now – as a gravy thickener. Bon Appetit!

Photos from Jungle Farm (where Kampung Harvest hens live)
Here are some photos shared by Ivan Ho, the founder of Kampung Harvest cruelty-free eggs! This is Jungle Farm. Besides the cruelty-free unfertilised eggs, Ivan also makes century eggs (from duck eggs and chicken eggs), all lead-free. The eggs are fermented with ash water, salt, spices for 120 days. The century eggs are available at…

Kampung Harvest cruelty-free eggs!
I’ve been promoting Kampung Harvest eggs for many years now, actually, more than 10 years. So it happened that a loyal AnimalCare follower and dear friend was asking me today and she seemed to have missed all my posts about Kampung Harvest eggs! So, I’m writing about it again now. Kampung Harvest’s founders are my…
