Updates at 11.51am: A friend (an elderly man) responded to our appeal and picked up the dog from the busy NKVE highway. The dog is safe now, and we requested temporary shelter at PAWS. It is a female, is a very “happy” dog, friendly and apart of being skinny and slightly limping, the dog looks fine. Mary has been informed of the rescue. The rescuer has requested anonymity. We thank him very, very much for the help rendered. A life is saved!! We also thank the anonymous reader who gave us the exact location of this dog too. And thank you to all who has helped.
Updates at 8.55am: An anonymous reader spotted the dog at the 20.1 km marker, right after the overhead bridge (heading towards Sg Buloh). There is a broken tanker by the road (landmark). The dog has a chain/rope around its neck. Could be a pet. Need urgent help, please.
Advice from rescuer: Please bring muzzle. The dog would have to be carried from divider to roadside. Not possible to lead across road due to high speed traffic. Dog might bite out of fright when carried.
Suggestion: It may be possible to seek PLUS’ (1-800-880-000) help to stop traffic on both sides during rescue attempt.
The original post:
Mary Yap (012-012-3282260) just called saying since yesterday, a small brown dog has been stranded at the divider along the NKVE, on the stretch from Kota Damansara heading towards Jln Duta/Sg Buloh. The dog looked alright yesterday but today, looks weak and dehydrated. The poor dog is still stranded on the divider now.
Rescue help is needed, please.
If you are able to help, please contact Mary at her hp given above. Mary has given us the assurance that she will take over the dog, but since she is at work all day today, it would help very much if the rescuer could please help send the dog to the vet.
Please help and please forward. The poor dog is already dehydrated.
Thank you.
