We are really saddened to hear that Cherry Berry’s growth may be cancerous in nature. We hope the Transfer Factor and treatment will help her recover. If you have nursed any cat with similar symptoms, please share your experience by leaving a comment on this post. It would help Azura or at least, let her know she is not alone in this as she is so far away in Kota Samarahan. Thank you.

Meanwhile, we ask for your prayers for little Cherry Berry to recover soon and be free from pain and suffering.

Subject: Cherry Berry’s update
To: Chan Kah Yein <chankahyein@gmail.com>

Dear Dr Chan,Another update about cherry berry. After the second treatment on 7 April which she was given another shot of steroid, the growth has increased in size in a month obviously.I rushed her to the other vet on 9 May because I  needed to get another opinion. I showed the vet her blood test result and the vet had another different opinion. She was just a bit dehydrated and no indication of FIP. However, though I explained to the vet that the FIV and FELV tests were negative, he said that sometimes the tests might be misleading due to certain factors.

The vet took  growth  sample and ran the biopsy test and the result indicated that it is very likely cancerous tumor and it is aggresive cell. He just told me there is nothing much we can do except to treat the inflammation due to secondary infection. He once again told me that in such condition, the steroid shot given before has lowered cherry’s immune system and therefore, it encouraged the bacterial infection on the growth.

For this treatment, cherry was given a strong antibiotic jab and  vitamin b complex syrup, oral drop and antibiotic for 8 days. I have to bring her again for second visit after 5 days with the hope to see the regression of the growth. At the same time, I have started the transfer factor tri plus advance since 9 May. I do hope TF will boost her immune system to fight the disease. The treatment cost was RM70. For her medical subsidy, I shall send it together with the second visit bill (14/5/2013).

Her appetite is still good and I let her into my house at night for warm sleeping.

Thank you so much for your time.

I attach her latest photos.

Regards, azura

Be strong, little Cherry Berry, we are all rooting for you!!
