The bill for these two puppies is RM186. We have subsidised 50% which is RM93. This subsidy comes from all donors through our Medical Fund (RM43) and Berjaya Cares (RM50). An additional subsidy of RM75 comes from Ti-Ratana Penchala. The total subsidy is RM168.
We were really sad to hear that 3 of the 5 mini jungle puppies were found to have passed away, suspected of either distemper or tick fever. There are only 2 left now and are being fostered by the uncle who works in the factory. The uncle has taken them home. The mum-dog appears to be fine and is no longer attached to the puppies. We have suggested that Lester tries to get her spayed but it isn’t easy as she is still a bit feral and is afraid to approach humans.
Lester also said that some of the younger factory puppies appear to have lost weight though the older dogs are fine. We fear there is an outbreak of distemper or tick fever and Lester will be taking as many of the thin puppies to be examined at the vet’s. Our 50% subsidy holds for all of them and we have a sponsor who will top up with additional subsidies.

i would like to apply for a medical subsidy for 5 puppies who you and Connie saw in front of the factory, inside a small jungle.
we brought 2 of them to the vet –attached- after the uncle who feeds the puppies noticed that 3 of the puppies had passed away. The vet said most likely it is distemper and/or tick fever as they have symptoms such as vomiting and coughing. now the uncle is fostering the remaining 2 puppies in his house.
attached are the vet’s name card, the medicines to cure Parvo (dogs & cats), second most recent pictures took of the puppies going to the vet, and the most recent pictures took of the puppies today (7/7/13).thank you very much.
