Medical subsidy for 7 Klang Jaya puppies (Lester Hiew Thiam Hock & Jenny Khong Chin Chin’s)

The total from two receipts is RM183. We have subsidised 50% which is RM91.50 whereby RM31.50 is from all donors through our Medical Fund and RM60 from Berjaya Cares. An additional RM50 is a donation from Mr Kok Khee Wee, who is supporting Lester and his mother’s caregiving work. The total subsidy is therefore RM141.50.

good evening miss,

i would like to apply for medical subsidy for 7 puppies born in Klang Jaya. there are 5 males and 2 females.
you and Ms. Connie have met their mother dog before. mange and bad skin condition and small growths around the mouth area (now the small growths are gone).
the mother dog gave birth to these 7 puppies 2 weeks ago.
after the 1st week (8/7/13), they had a slight cold and flu so we straight away brought them to the vet because we did not want to take the risk due to past bad experience: the mother’s mother gave birth to 9 puppies (8 passed away except for 1 who was adopted) at around the same area so we are a bit afraid (refhttp://animalcare.my/2013/06/05/medical-subsidy-for-4-puppies-lester-hiew-thiam-hockjenny-khong-chin-chins-2/).
The vet gave us Vetri DMG solution form for us to feed the puppies with it. mother and i are still feeding the puppies with Vetri DMG.
then 1 male puppy got a big lump around his belly area. almost the similar case as 1 of the 9 puppies.
we got really worried so we brought the male puppy to another vet on 10/7/13.
ever since we noticed that lump, mother decided to bring him back to our home to nurse him.
This vet gave the puppy 3 jabs of antibiotics on 10/7, 11/7, and 13/7. The vet discouraged surgery as the puppy is still very small. it showed reduce in swelling but after the 2nd jab (11/7), the swelling came back.
on 14/7/13, we brought to the first vet for a second opinion. The vet did a small surgery to abstract the pus inside the lump. the lump is still there but it is smaller now.
The puppy is currently living with us, receiving small medical attention from my mother especially and mother is feeding him with milk every 2 hours even during the wee hours.
attached are pictures of the mother and the puppies. will update once the swelling is better.
thank you very much,
Lester Hiew

We cannot over-emphasize the importance of getting as many street animals as possible neutered!
