This is Nicole Wong Siew Siew and her husband, Wong Chee Kin’s, first application for our funds and it went to the wrong address and had also missed the deadline. The information about our subsidy was given to them by a friend who did not explain everything, so only the forms and receipts came, but without any photos or emails.
It is strange that they were told that a person could only apply once and that is why they used two names to apply for the two cats, and the forms came separately. I only guessed they must be related because both receipts were in the same name. Luckily I called them (both, individually) and after a lengthy explanation, they understand our procedures now. Nicole then immediately emailed the photos and both agreed to claim under Nicole’s name only since the receipts were all in her name.
I am glad everything was settled amicably. We extended our deadline for them and the “same name” requirement since it is their first time applying. This is certainly a far cry from some applicants (also first timers) who scold us for setting such difficult procedures when we call up to explain what is needed. No photos, no write-up, no name on the receipt and still insists that we must pay! Good that they scold us, because it means they won’t come back to us! But some still do. Hence, the phrase “thick-skinned”.
Sorry, I digressed.
Nicole Wong is a feeder and caregiver of the cats in their backlane and she said there are many more cats whom she wants to get neutered. We told her she is welcomed to apply to our funds as long as our procedures are followed.
We have subsidised RM100 for the spaying of Mouyecha, a female cat, and RM90 for the neutering of Xiaobai, a male cat, plus another RM113.50 for the eye surgery and hospitalisation for Xiaobai. Nicole understands that we cannot subsidise boarding. This subsidy comes from all donors through our Medical Fund (RM103.50) and Berjaya Cares (RM200).

To: Chan Kah Yein <chankahyein@gmail.com>A. Xiao Bai hd a pair of blue eyes. Then one of the eye was injured because of fighting or virus infection. (Dr said Mayb virus) so, we sent to treat n do the neuter too. After a weeks even apply the medicine to the eye still no result. ( boarding in veterinary ) Finally Dr was suggest to do the operation took up the death eye. Bcos ‘he’ was a stray male cat , and we are not able to help apply the medicine every day. These was the better way to avoid the virus infection .B. Mouyecha was a fierce female cat(1 of the stray cat) we just sent ‘her’ to neuter.
