We have subsidised RM175.50 (which is 50% of the total bill) for Georgie’s treatment. This subsidy comes from all donors through our Medical Fund (RM75.50) and Berjaya Cares (RM100).

Subject: Georgie’s Medical Subsidy Application and Boarding subsidy request.
To: Chan Kah Yein <chankahyein@gmail.com>Dear Dr Chan,I have two issues that need your kind attention and consideration..Firstly, do you remember Georgie, bobby’s puppy that u have given medical subsidy two months ago? Since then, he is doing well and growing healthily until this unfortunate incident happened on 21 July 2013. While my neighbour fed Georgie and siblings plus the other 4 adult dogs, Bobby, Indy, lulu and Goril, Georgie was suddenly attacked by Indy over food. It caused tragic incident that changed Georgie’s life for good. His left eye was injured and out of its eye socket which cannot be saved anymore. My neighbour and I rushed him to the vet immediately after half an hour consoling him to get into the carrier. He will be back home tonite after the surgery and I still do not know the exact cost. I have given RM200 deposit as required. I do highly appreciate if Animal Care could provide subsidy for Georgie. I shall update his latest photo for your reference and record soon.secondly,I would like to ask if it is possible that Animal Care to help provide subsidy for boarding treatment after dog being spayed. It is not the issue that I am Muslim but I do not have any courage or experience in handling adult dogs to be taken care after any medical treatment or neuter. In addition, I do not have any space to keep them after neuter or spay. The dogs are Bobby (quite fierce) which gave birth to 9 puppies, Lulu (tame) gave birth to 7 puppies, and male dogs are 3 which are Indy (tame), Tiger(tame) and Goril (tame). I have to start asap since their number has been increasing lately. Please advice. Thank you for your kind consideration.Tq so much.Azura, Kota Samarahan
We have advised Azura that we cannot provide any subsidy for boarding, but if any of our readers would like to help, they can write in to us. Azura understands our policies and says she too will try to raise some funds on her side for the boarding fee. Nevertheless, we will definitely help with the neutering fee of all these dogs and we salute Azura for doing the needful for the dogs even though she does not have experience in handling them. Her kind intentions are very admirable.
