Tan Mei Lian lives in Kluang, Johor and works in the servicing department of a water filter company. Mei Lian also looks after 57 community dogs and puppies in various locations. So far she has received our subsidies for 8 dogs spayed-neutered, 8 puppies vaccinated and the most recent case is a puppy with a skin problem.
Mei Lian applied for our food subsidy and according to her, she is looking after 43 dogs and 14 puppies in Kluang. She cooks chicken and rice for them and goes out daily at night to feed them. She also adds kibbles. She has managed to get a total of 25 dogs neutered (8 subsidised by us) and 15 adopted. These adoptions were carried out by word of mouth and through friends. We have asked for photos of future adoptions, and we will continue subsidising her neutering and medical cases as per policy.
We have now sponsored RM128 worth of food supplies for these dogs (RM108 for 6 bags of 10kg Beras Nasional rice and RM20 for chicken bones, all with receipts). The chicken bones are purchased from a “Gerai Ayam”. This sponsorship comes from all donors through our Food Fund.
Mei Lian also sent us many photos of her feeding the dogs in various locations.
