Tan Mei Lian wrote to me last month about a whole litter of puppies rescued but found to have been infected with the parvovirus. Medical treatment was given, but all succumbed to the disease. That is really sad.
Hence, the importance of neutering and vaccination. That is why we increased our dog neutering subsidy to RM150 this year and our vaccination subsidy to RM25.
The bill is RM1260 and we have subsidised our maximum, which is RM500. This subsidy comes from the AnimalCare Donors (RM200) and Berjaya Cares (RM300).
Mei Lian has been advised to get as many dogs as possible vaccinated.
