Would you believe it, folks? I had a call from a nice lady yesterday who said she was looking for a MONGREL puppy!
Yes, you heard me right – she wanted a MONGREL puppy. To be more specific, she said it has to be female, brown with black nose, and has droppy ears (NOT pointed ears, she said).
She has a few pedigree right now, including a (gigantic) St Bernard. But one of her beloved dogs (a 16 year-old) has just passed away and she would like a replacement. But only one, she said.
I told her I will try to look for one with that description and guess what – here they are – Kourtney and Khloe from SPCA!! Take a look. Both female, brown with black nose and droopy ears! (rescued from the Orang Asli settlement from one of the Ketam islands)
I couldn’t believe my luck, but my friend at SPCA told me she would rather that Kourtney and Khloe not be separated as they are sisters and oh-so-close and loving. I prayed like crazy the kind lady would (by some chance) be interested to take BOTH. I know it’s a long shot, but it doesn’t hurt to be positive, right?
This evening, I rang the kind lady and told her I had found her not one, but two puppies who fitted her requirements. And here it comes folks….she said she thought about it and thinks it is better to have TWO so that they would not be so lonely.
The power of prayer?
Now, she is viewing their photographs and I am praying even harder.
I hope she likes them – then, it would be two more lives saved and rehomed to a loving family!
