Here’s the terrier I was talking about yesterday. Found abandoned by Ms Lee in Gombak, and had an injured foot.
I had arranged for the terrier to be brought to our panel vet in Section 17 for treatment this weekend, but guess what, he has already been rehomed by his rescuer, Ms Lee.
Hooray!! Here’s what Ms Lee wrote in her email to me:
Guess what!!!! The terrier was adopted by another Indian family this morning – I went around yesterday night to all the houses around the area the terrier was found and asked them whether they have lost a dog or know of their neighbours who have similiar looking black & white dog – but after 1 hour of asking all their answers was a NO.
I was comtemplating to leave Terrier back to the place he was found this morning because my husband said if leave him back there then it is easier for his owner to locate him. I was reluctant because Terrier is still in pain and it is very inhumane to put him back to the street when he cannot really fend for himself. He still walked with a limp.
Just now – just before I met the new owner I went to see Terrier in Auntie’s house and he seems to have healed a bit – I think with the care from Auntie – with proper food and the Dettol antiseptice cream which auntie applied on his other wounded back leg his pain had subsided a bit. Terrier whined softly when he saw me just now!
After visiting Terrier I went again to another side of the road because one malay guy told me yesterday night that he used to see an indian guy taking Terrier for walks. Still I cannot manage to find the owner.
Then I saw one Indian family and asked them – the man told me he too saw Terrier yesterday morning and thought of taking him home if he is still there when he comes back from work. I then asked him if he is interested or not and his wife and children agreed. I took his family to have a look at Terrier and Terrier looked happy to see them. He immediately took Terrier home. He told me he had dogs before and I told him try not to cage/leash Terrier up since he is such an obedient dog. The new owner told me not to worry -he will love him. Hope they will take my advice!
Anyway before that I went to the vet to buy for Terrier some animal painkillers and had given the medicine to the new owner.

P.S. Further updates on Terrier (1st August) – Ms Lee called to say Terrier’s original owner has been located! Now Terrier is back HOME where he belongs. Miracles DO happen, dont they?
