Let me see if I can remember this poem from 40+ years ago…Mary, Mary, quite contrary, how does your garden grow? With silver bells and cockle shells, and pretty maids all in a row!
Just WHO are these three pretty maids in a row? That’s Ervina (on the left) and her two friends from UiTM.
Ervina wrote to me this morning, asking if I could help a stray cat she’s been feeding near her apartment. That’s Ervina holding Patches, the cat (the other cat is MiMi, the clinic’s resident cat). I arranged for our panel vet to check Patches, whom Ervina fears may have an eye disease. AnimalCare will sponsor the treatment, and Ervina would like to chip in too. Bless her very kind heart!
The eye looks bulging and discoloured. We’ll let the vet check and see what the prognosis is.
Meanwhile, I am really encouraged by Ervina and her friends. They took the trouble to bring Patches all the way from Shah Alam to Subang Jaya just to get him treated. And, in between classes, too. Such kindness….
I hope more people (young AND not-so-young) will come forward and help the poor, suffering animals. They are the neglected ones and we are in the position to help them.
Ervina also hopes that someone would be willing to adopt Patches as she will be finishing her studies soon and will not be staying in her apartment anymore.
Patches is male, and very friendly. He allows people to stroke and pat him.
P.S. Patches will be boarded tonight while undergoing treatment.
