Jean, who had earlier sent one cat for neutering at our panel vet, has also sent another black cat for neutering recently.
Jean practises CNRM now. Previously, it was just C-M (Care and Manage). Though she confesses to “not really like cats”, out of compassion, she still feeds them and now, sends them to be neutered at our panel vet in Section 17, PJ.
Jean and her husband also willingly pay for the neutering costs themselves.
I’m so glad we are able to assist them with CNRM through our panel vets.
As I’ve always said, for every stray animal that we neuter, we are preventing thousands of unwanted births from taking place (and suffering in this concrete world we have created).
Ultimately, it is through education and example that the stray problem can be controlled. Certainly NOT through extermination. I hope the people in power who can make a change in legislation would consider this more compassionate method. Channel the money spent on extermination to spaying and neutering instead.
Killing is NEVER a solution to ANY problem. Killing is never right, and Nature has its way of “giving back”….one fine day. We are already paying the price now for “killing” our natural resources. How much more killing must humans do before they realise the folly of their ways?
P.S. I am suddenly reminded of the song from My Fair Lady, “Just you wait, Henry Higgins, just you wait…”
Just you wait, human beings, just you wait…
You’d be sorry but your tears will be too late…
One more neutering, thousands saved
