Updates on Patches

Look at that, folks! That’s Patches relaxing with Penny Lane in Ervina’s living room. Let me copy here, the email from Ervina:
hello! im glad joanie has peed and pooped! 😀 and the picture of suki suckling on joanie is priceless! sooo cute XD
papa bought patches’ first collar, and he looks quite handsome in it! my parents are like proud grandparents today watching them both play. today my mom let patches out of the cage for one whole day. she feels sorry for patches being confined in it. she said no more cages because it messes her kitchen too (she’s a neat freak and we have a small kitchen). i was against it at first, but he showed positive signs.firstly, he was running around our house and garden with penny lane playing cat and mouse. he played strings with mom. he knew his way back into the house whenever he goes outside. he eats and drinks a lot! they share the same bowl and litterbox, penny lane is totally fine with it! the only concern im having is that penny lane is very playful and active and he likes to bite playfully. im just worried if penny lane plays a bit too rough and injures patches’ bad eye.
I’m really so, so happy to hear this. If not for Ervina’s compassionate heart, Patches might have suffered the same fate as Angel, the cat who had glaucoma gone bad until it almost burst and finally, when she was brought to us, we could not do anything except to sponsor the operation to innoculate the eye, and later to help look for adopters.
We have to act fast sometimes. Delaying is not wise.
Ervina, you did right! Patches may go blind in one eye because glaucoma is irreversible, but he has a good and loving home now, and a good quality of life.
Rejoice!
