Maxis is going in for surgery on Tuesday. His rescuer has managed to raise some funds from her friends. AnimalCare will sponsor the balance of the cost of the surgery.
We hope this first surgery will be successful and can address the problem of Maxis’ leg.
The fosterer says Maxis is in great pain.
Let us pray for the best, and hope it is not a tumour or a bone infection (both would need amputation). We hope it is something that can be corrected through this first round of surgery.

P.S. Maxis was brought to a shelter to be euthanised by his owner because of the problem of his leg. A rescuer intervened and decided he should be given a fighting chance to live.
