Hi everyone. Remember Dr Veeranoot who adopted Kwanta and Kwanjai (gifts of the heart and of the eye)? Dr Veeranoot initially was not too confident about looking after the two kittens, but she felt sorry for strays, so she decided to try. When I delivered the two kittens, Dr Veeranoot even told me that she may have to pass the kittens back to me if she finds that she cannot look after them well.
Well, looks like it has worked out very well now.
Here’s an update from Dr Veeranoot:
Kwanta is consistent in her behavior (she knows what she wants), she rolls down on the floor when sees me come back home, I pat her back, come her hair, talk and play with her etc. She is beautiful (even I told my sister), I like the way she sits straight (when I put her on my lap) and has long neck with her soft fur….She is a Lady like, active and more quiet than young Kwanjai.
You told me that Kwanjai is about 8 months year-old ya! You know she wants to get attention all the time when she sees me. She cries out loud anytime when she doesn’t see me. Night time also she cries from time to time (I do not allow both of them to sleep in my room…I will make their personal beds…I try to understand that she now comes in between childhood to teenage ya!)
Kwanta seems to understand her like a younger sister. She licks and plays with her. Kwanta always gives way to Kwanjai e.g., if she sits on my lap, immediately Kwanjai will quickly come to me and show sign of want to sit as well, to my surprise Kwanta will leave my lap!!!! She does not hold on….you know!!
Contrarily to Kwanjai, she always sits on my lap like a kid that want to be taken care of …etc. I think because of last 2-3 weeks that I like to be close to them but the effect has so much impact on Kwanjai.
I let both of them out of the house in the evening after my work to play around the compound…they still not get use to it…..I will send you photos next time.
This is about my two little daughters!!!
We rejoice that Dr Veeranoot has found so much joy in looking after Kwanta and Kwanjai.
The point is, you don’t have to be an experienced pet owner to learn to love animals. It comes naturally because love is there, in your heart. And very often, pets bring out the best in you!
