Dear all, I just spoke to the vet regarding Super. The vets spent the whole day on Super, and he had 12 x-rays taken. Blood work was also performed.
To cut a long story short, a lesion was observed in his abdomen, and the next “correct” step to take is to perform exploratory surgery to determine just what this lesion is. Super appears to have some neurological problems as well, but the brain is a “no go” area, so no brain surgery will be performed.
Judging from the investigation today, the prognosis is “very bad”.
The vet says if he were to go ahead with the surgery, he would have to use the very best supportive treatment for Super due to his deteriorating condition.
The expected cost for today’s work and the surgery would be no less than RM1500.
I have discussed this with Super’s rescuer. We are both raising funds for Super now.
As of now, we still need about RM800.
