As reported earlier, Terry and Teresa rescued a few kittens and a mother-cat two days ago. Here’s updates from Terry:
Teresa came by earlier today and helped bring the kittens to Mayo. She also helped me clean the cat room and most of my living room as well. Without her I don’t know what I’ll do. She’s one the most compassionate people around and the reason I got involved in Pet Rescuing.
Nana (the mother cat) still hasn’t returned, but I heard her meowing for her kitten in the backlane somewhere. I’m sure she’s around the area so I’ll do a search in the morning. I’ve left the window open just in case.
Baby Kitten didn’t seem hungry, probably pining for the mother, but he/she manage to consume a little bit of milk. He/she’s now huddled next to the hot water bottle and sleeping soundly.
Dino lookalike is active and plays robustly with Tinsel. Tinsel is greedy as ever and anytime he’s out, I’ll find him IN the food bowl. Panthera just observes most of the time and growls at the older kittens. She loves the litter box and like to lie there. So does Dino lookalike.
BraveHeart and Courage are both named for their lack of both. These two sisters are timid towards humans and it will take sometime to get them accustomed to us. They will growl at the other kittens and jump at any slight movement. BraveHeart is the more fidgety of the two.
The litter seems to be doing fine and despite the occasional warning growl, no fights have occured and things seem to calm down as time passes by. Now I’m just hoping to find Nana in the morning and bring her back.
Braveheart and Courage will be up for adoption once they are more settled.
Vixey touched many hearts during her time here and I am deeply moved by her presence in the other animals. It is my pleasure to be able to send her off on her next rebirth.
