Rescued, fostered and adopted!

This is probably the fastest rescue-foster-adopt case I’ve done so far!  A case of instant-noodle-adoption?

Uncle Vijaya called today saying he had just rescued this dog who was found running up and down his street.  Uncle Vijaya and Aunty (his wife) brought the dog in, and then went round the neighbourhood asking if anyone had lost his/her dog, but nobody responded to a lost dog.

So Uncle asked me what to do.  He said the dog looked like a Pekinese.  He also looked abandoned, and is an old dog.  I figured either the dog is lost or the owner could have abandoned him.

I made a few phonecalls.  The first call was to Daniel Azlan.  Daniel said he would only be free on Thursday, and he could take a look at the dog with the view of adopting.  Next, to Terry to ask if he could foster until Daniel comes on Thursday.  I know Terry’s place is already quite saturated, but I don’t have any more dog fosterers.  So, Terry said he could, especially if it’s only for a few days.

So, Uncle Vijaya and Aunty brought the dog over, and hey…it’s not a Pekinese!  It’s a terrier….who looks almost exactly like Yorky (the one whom Daniel had lost recently).  So I quickly took this photo and sent it to Daniel.

That’s definitely NOT a Pekinese!

The dog smelled quite bad, so the first thing I did was to give him a bath.
He took to bathing so well.  Absolutely no objections whatsoever, and this made me even more convinced that he is someone’s pet.  Well, obviously he is.  There are no stray Yorkshire terriers roaming around town, are there?  As I was bathing him, I discovered he was male.
My daughter, Ming-Yi, and I had initially thought he was female because Bobby did not “ask for a fight”.  And I had planned to call her “Terrie”.  Now that he is a male, well…it would have to be “Terry” then?  ha ha…Terry being fostered by Terry!
That’s Ming-Yi helping to dry him after the bath.  He is completely people-friendly.
Terry dropped in to take a look and discovered (again, with his keen eyes) that Terry (the dog) may have some ear infection, so we got some apple cider vinegar and cleaned it up.
Just before Terry arrived, I had sent a photo of Terry (the dog) to Daniel Azlan, and Daniel said he could come take a look tonight and possibly adopt him.
Great!!
Now, I’m waiting for Daniel to come….
Meanwhile, there’s total havoc in my house now as Mac and Bobby protest big-time!  These two thirteen year-old “uncles” are okay with cats but NOT dogs!  You’ll understand why I simply cannot foster another dog!
