Dear all,
It’s been a very busy day. It’s exams week in my college and I’ll be very busy marking papers, and there seems to be a lot of animals in need this week too.
Here’s some updates:
1. Chow Chow will be treated by a vet in Bangsar, and one kind lady has pledged, through the shelter, to sponsor half the cost of the treatment, so we only need to raise half the amount required (yet to be known).
2. The male dog Mr Siva brought in for maggot wound treatment was due to be neutered this morning, but the vet found that he has cancer and it has spread. Because of this, he cannot be neutered. According to the vet, the cancer seems to be in an advance stage and nothing can be done anymore. The dog would just have to live out his natural life. This evening, we are going to send the dog for a second opinion at the pet hospital in PJ.
3. The TVT female dog (from Mr Siva) may be treated with chemotherapy at our panel vet in OKR, and not UPM as first intended. We need the estimated cost first.
4. We hope to get Brumby and Kanthaka adopted this evening.
I will update you when I have more news.
Meanwhile, I shall now turn into a marking-final-papers zombie. I love to teach, but I dread to mark papers! Bad hand-writing…arrgh!!
