Remember Puppykins? He’s the little puppy whose leg had to be amputated due to an accident and subsequent bone infection.
The operation was “a nightmare”, as the vet described, but successfully done.
The vet was (and still is) afraid complications might develop because the infection had spread and they had to amputate on the infected area (there was other space to do it).
I visited Puppykins today. Why, he was up and about, and running on three legs!

I spoke to the vet and he says they are keeping their fingers crossed that his wound will heal well, and there is no further infection.
We are working very hard to get Puppykins adopted.
