I don’t know if you all remember Puppykins, the little factory puppy who was knocked down by a vehicle and finally had to have its leg amputated. While at the vet’s, Puppykins stole everybody’s hearts because he was oh-so-adorable and completely lovable.
We were initially trying to find an adopter for Puppykins, but the factory owners have decided to take Puppykins back now. So he is “home” where he belongs.
We salute the factory owners, Mr Lee and Mr Chong, who did not opt to have Puppykins euthanised, but instead appealed to the vets to try their very best to save his leg. Even though the attempts failed and the leg had to be finally amputated (bone infection had set in and was fast spreading), the two factory owners took full responsibility, paid for the bill (which amounted to more than RM1000), and have now taken Puppykins back with them.
We are glad to know there are such responsible people around…still!
It IS a wonderful world.
So, let us rejoice (again!).
