I checked on Sean (the male with distemper) today and he is a bundle of energy! According to Dr Khor, he has no more diarrhoea and looks as fit as a fiddle. He is also eating well, and puts up a big fight when it’s medicine time. He looked perfectly happy in the bathroom, too.
Amazing, isn’t it? And to think some people would have had him put down once tested positive for distemper. I hope this the good sign we are looking for, and that he will continue to full recovery.
Tara, on the other hand, does not look too good today. Her cough has stopped, but now she has nasal discharge (it’s still clear discharge because it’s just started). I have got some antibiotics now, and will go over again to pass it to my mum, for Tara.
Jackie, the first to be brought back, is still unusually quiet. Her eye is totally gone and needs surgery to be properly removed, but she doesn’t look good enough to undergo surgery at this moment. The area around the eye (which was all badly bruised) is healing well, though.
Roger and Shaggy are alright. Lisa has been going daily to OKR to feed them. Today, I think they will get special Xmas food from Lisa’s Xmas dinner last night.
And finally, the foursome at PAWS seem to be doing well. Wendy had 20+ maggots in her paw (all removed and now being treated). She looks much better now and feels better (I think). They have ticks, though, and I will be bringing a bottle of FrontLine there this afternoon. All four are eating well.
That’s the latest report on the eight.
One day at a time, that’s all we have.
