Updates on the Raub spay-neuter campaign

Good news, folks.  A friend who prefers to remain anonymous has arranged for a vet to do the spay-neuter up in Raub for the sawmill dogs.

I spoke to Meiji today and she will make all the necessary arrangements up in Raub before we decide on a date.

However, there was some bad news too.  The worker who took the little puppy refused to give the puppy to Meiji.  He has hidden the puppy somewhere, it seems.  The mother and the other four puppies are up in Meiji’s sanctuary now, and the little puppy might still need mother’s milk.  It’s a bad case of politics here.  Sigh…humans, humans, humans!  Meiji says she will continue looking for the puppy.  We can only hope and pray for the puppy’s safety.

Meiji says there is also a Thai lady who has been feeding and looking after some stray dogs at a cemetery nearby.  She cooks for them.  This Thai lady cannot afford to get the dogs spayed-neutered, but she takes them for quarterly birth control injections.  So we will see how we can help over there as well.

There are lots of kind and sympathetic people who look after the stray animals by feeding them.  They cannot afford the medical fee for spaying-neutering.  We are here to help these kind souls.

CNRM – way to go!
