G’day MPs,
You might have already been made aware of the critical condition at the Klang (MPK) Dog compound by now. Our fellow friends visited the pound earlier, and were terrified by the unethical method the authorities have been maintaining and exercising in the pound. Greeted the team was a sight we believe best left for the photos to speak for itself.
This story is already circulated in the web and read by countless other animal lovers, and animal welfare groups globally. This is an act of animal cruelty and a crime, committed by a governmental body, i.e MPK. And this reflects badly on the performances and competencies of the selangor state government in managing its agencies specifically, and on us, Malaysians generally for the lack of respect to lives. For your information, this is not the first such incident involving MPK.
I urge you to attend to this issue immediately. Earlier responds by your officials promising to check the truth behind the story, and to hope for the council to take better care of the dogs, are just NOT enough. The dogs need immediate attention, or they will all suffer inevitable painful death.
If you care, and need sharings on better maintain and improve the condition of your pounds in the long run, there are many animal lovers and welfare groups, including us, which are more than happy to support.
Looking forward your response. Our team had been in the pound, witnessed this act of cruelty taking place, this is a fact, as such please act.
P/S: this email is copied to animal welfare groups, media, and organizer of the ongoing AFA in Singapore.

The activists representing over 200 organisations from 26 countries, including Malaysia, are participating in the five-day Asia for Animals Conference (AFA) hosted by Singapore’s Acres (Animal Concerns Research and Education Society.
The conference will cover a wide range of issues including running effective education outreach programmes, improving the welfare of animals in captivity, providing optimal veterinary care, effective stray animals management, wiping out the wildlife trade, running a sustainable rescue centre and campaigning for change.
Singapore Member of Parliament Seah Kian Peng who in his opening address, said the world was now beginning to realise the need to preserve and take care of animals and the importance of their survival to mankind.
He said the European Union had recognised that animals were sentient beings and had started to include animal welfare in its Free Trade Agreement.
The World Organisation for Animal Health recently integrated animal welfare into its strategic priorities and the Doha WTO Agreement on Trade also placed animal welfare firmly on the agenda for future agricultural negotiations, Seah said.
