URGENT – fosterer required for parvo-survivor

Meiji brought two puppies to us on Saturday.  Both were diagnosed with parvo virus and both had a slim chance of survival, but today, one of them (the white one) has recovered, while the other (the brown one) is fighting very hard with all its might.

This little one can be discharged already.
This one is still fighting very hard for his/her life.

The white one can already be discharged and we are looking for a fosterer to look after her for 3 weeks.  It should be in a house with no other dog (or only vaccinated dogs), because she will be shedding the virus.  The fosterer would have to mop the place with diluted chlorox every day.

If you can help, please contact me.  We need to discharge her to minimise the risks to the other dogs in the clinic.

Meanwhile, over in Klang, for the other two of Meiji’s puppies, we have bad news.  The one will parvo passed away this morning.  We are really sad to hear this.

This is the fate of abandoned puppies forced to live under less-than-ideal conditions.  It is very sad.

Spaying and neutering of the strays will help alleviate such happenings.  It prevents unwanted births, abandonment and pitiful deaths.

And the key to this is education and compassion.
