We reached Puchong at about 7.30pm. Dr Edmund had prepared Little Eva in a cardboard box to reduce contamination in my car and on us (both Ainey and I have dogs at home).
Little Eva is one of Kwai Chee’s dogs. Lizzie was the other one, but she did not survive (parvo). Both were brought down from Raub about a week ago, and we sponsored their treatment.
Eva had parvo and tick fever, but she made it through the “storm” and is now ready for discharge.
We drove Eva back in the cardboard box and she made little whiny noises throughout the journey.
We finally reached Mayo Clinic, and I brought the cardboard box all the way straight to the “isolation room”, which, incidentally, is the bathroom where Sean had stayed before.
Parvo only spreads through faecal matter and not through the air. So, as long as the dog is isolated and the area chloroxed daily, it’s quite safe.
