Today is going to be a very sad day. I have been told that DVS would be going to the pound to euthanise all the sick dogs.
I may be wrong, but I believe some of the sick dogs have a chance of recovery if given medical treatment. Look at the 59 that we took out from the pound last month. Some were also sick, but most of them have recovered. Many have been adopted from LLLP in Bentong. We only lost four dogs in LLLP.
But this is the fate of stray dogs.
Right now, we still have many litters of puppies to rehome, all born from stray mother-dogs. We are helping Oliver, Carol and Sundari. I am sure MDDB has many as well. Their adoption drives are very successful. Kudos to them for all their efforts. Please support their adoption drives.
We hope to enlist your help in propagating our CNRM programme. Spay-neuter is the way to go. It is a long-term solution, but we have to start it and just keep going at it. The results may be slow, but for every dog that we spay-neuter, we have already prevented thousands of unwanted births.
The local councils will continue doing what they do – kill. Killing will NOT solve the problem, but they don’t seem to be listening.
So we have to do what we know is right.
Please join us. We provide the vets and the funds, you help us bring in the animals.
Let’s focus on the positive and on what we can do.
