This morning, I received an urgent call from Meiji. One of the LLLP dogs is seriously ill, and Meiji was already on her way to KL, to bring the dog for treatment.
I will be meeting Meiji right after work today, to take the dog to our panel vet for treatment.
All our volunteers in Subang Jaya (Terry, Ainey and me) work fulltime and sometimes, it is not possible for us to get off from work to attend to such emergencies. My work is particularly restrictive because I teach, and I cannot leave my scheduled classes at all. I even have to replace classes during medical leave, and that is why I have never taken medical leave all my life!
I am now appealing to volunteers, especially homemakers and retirees, who are willing to help us in guiding rescuers to our panel vets in Subang Jaya (SS17 and USJ Taipan) and Puchong (Bandar Puteri 5). If you are able to help us and are willing to go that extra mile, please contact me.
We need help urgently in the following areas:
1. To guide rescuers on emergency cases to three locations – SS17, USJ Taipan and Bandar Puteri 5, Puchong.
2. To transport sick animals to the three locations above.
