I almost forgot…this afternoon, Terry and I took a potential adoper, Mr Eric Hong and his wife, to view Russell and Roger. Eric is a dog-lover, and he is looking to adopt another puppy or dog.
Eric had told me he would like a 1 year-old male, and one who barks. So I thought Russell would be good.
However, due to some reason, Eric did not have much affinity with Russell, so that did not work out.
We then took Eric to see Roger.
Bad timing, Dr Vijay had just taken Roger up to be neutered, so we could not view Roger. Even if we waited until the procedure was done, Roger would still be down and out, and well…that would not have created a very good first impression.
But what do you know? I tell you, everything is karmic. Eric sprained his leg, and so I told him he should sit down and rest before driving back. Just as his lovely wife was massaging his leg with ointment, Dr Vijay carried (the down-and-out) Roger down, and placed him on the weighing scale. Roger had just been neutered, he was still under anaestetic, and his tongue was sticking out.
Eric took one look at Roger, lying down and out on the weighing scale and said, “Yes, this one is very nice. I’ll take him.”
What??
Serious?
Yes, Eric said. I want this one. He looks very nice.
I totally believe in karma, so that’s that. Roger will have a home.
Eric will come tomorrow afternoon and take Roger home, after we get him vaccinated in the morning.
