Humans create a lot of occasions for celebration. Today is one such celebration, St Valentine’s Day. According to history, there are three St Valentines who are honoured on this day, all of whom are hailed as martyrs. All three sacrificed their lives in a cause they believed in.
So, let’s ask ourselves if we have a cause that we believe in. If we do, let’s do something for that cause, with passion and commitment. Then, the three St Valentines would not have died in vain.
We celebrate today, being the start of the Tiger Year as well as St Valentine’s Day, as a day to renew our pledge to spread and shower universal love to all beings, particularly the most down-trodden ones and the ones most in need of love and kindness.
