Rahnee is adopted!

You might not remember Rahnee, the cat.  We sponsored the cost of her amputation in October 2009.  Rahnee was rescued by Rani, from a drain.  At the time of rescue, Rahnee’s foreleg was tightly fastened with rubberbands until it had eaten through the flesh into the bone.

Rahnee, a few weeks after rescue.

We consulted two vets and both said there was no way the leg could be saved, and amputation would be the best thing for Rahnee.  So, we saw her through the amputation and Rani has been nursing Rahnee ever since.  We also sponsored Rahnee’s spaying.

This photo was taken a day after her operation.  Rahnee was very spunky and perked up very quickly.  She also learnt to manage very well on three legs.

Today, I met Rani and was informed that Rani has been adopted by a cat-lover!  Isn’t this wonderful?  Now, Rahnee lives in an air-cont room, and has space to move about.  What’s most important is that she has a safe and loving home.

It had taken 6 months…but all’s well that ends well.

Have a happy life, Rahnee!
