ADOPTED!!
Blackie was taken in by some foreign workers as a guard-dog but abandoned soon after. The guards at Mandy’s housing area noticed him and started feeding him out of sympathy when he took shelter near their guardhouse.
Here’s Mandy’s account:
The guards at my housing area saw the black dog and started feeding him and he took shelter nearby the guardhouse eversince. They were very fond of him and asked my mom if we can help vaccinate him. After mom related that incident to me i decided to have it neutered and vaccinated. We have also provided a bag of dog kibbles, leash, collar, as well as drink and food containers. Blackie was vaccinated, neutered and dewormed on Saturday (15/5/2010).
We have applied for a license for him from MPK today but i think it’s still best if Blackie can be given a new home since it does not have a shelter, albeit the fact that the guards allow him to sleep in the guardhouse in the afternoon or when it’s raining.
Blackie is extremely obedient, very gentle and mild mannered and I believe he’ll make an extremely wonderful pet. He allowed me to pat and handle him just after minutes of knowing him. I hope he’ll be able to find a good home and given the track record of notorious dog catchers, it’s not safe for Blackie even with a license.
We have provided the funds for the castration, deworming and vaccination of Blackie. We are now looking for someone to adopt him and give him a safe home. If you would like to adopt Blackie, please contact Mandy at 012-3616163.
