All SIX kittens adopted!

Sometime last week, Lisa rescued a family of a mother-cat and six kittens, and we got the mother-cat spayed.  I must really congratulate Lisa for all her efforts because she has managed to get all the six kittens adopted!

The mum-cat, after being spayed last week.  Now, still with Lisa.
Five of the six kittens, after one was adopted from the vet’s.
Now, ALL adopted!

Here’s Lisa’s story:

The kittens have all been adopted! The mother cat is still with me, as such, staying with my staff who say that they will feed her and make sure she has fresh water everyday. I’ll provide the cat food for them. They’ve become rather fond of her and also of the kittens, the last of whom I delivered to her new home today in USJ11. Two kittens were adopted from Dr Khor’s. The other four and the mother, I took back and placed at the house we rent for the staff. I put the cat and kittens into a three tier cage with the litter tray and food and water with the intention of going every day to take care of their needs. The staff themselves asked if they could play with and feed the kittens and cat – I guess it was preferable to being bothered by me!
Sherrina from IPR told me about the Petfinder adoption drive and gave me a spot last Sat and Sun for the four kittens. On Sat two of the kittens were adopted though one of the kittens stayed on with me until this morning because the adopter didn’t have her cat carrier with her. I offered to deliver the cat to her this morning and got a chance to check out the new home too. Good adopter – three other rescued cats and all spay/ neutered. Met two of the cats this morning who were very friendly and beautifully cared for. The other two kittens went together to a young girl (in her 20s) who lives in Damansara Jaya. I lent her my cat carrier which I went to pick up this morning before sending the last kitten to USJ. The pair of kittens looked happy.

So that’s the happy news. The Petfinder adoption drive really has been very good for the cats and dogs.

Kudos to Lisa, Sherrina from the IPR and Petfinder’s adoption drive!

It is always wonderful when we can work together for the animals, each of us doing what we can.  No one person can do everything for the animals, so we’d be most happy to help in the spaying-neutering while you help out with the rehoming.

Let’s work together on this.
