A happy ending (and beginning!) for Wolfie

I was at the clinic today, and asked if Wolfie has been rehomed.  Wolfie was the only dog rescued by a teacher when her school decided to kill all the stray dogs in their compound.

The teacher boarded her at the clinic and Wolfie was treated for a lung infection.  She recovered and was ready for adoption.

I put up this posting for Wolfie on 10th June when the clinic asked for help to find Wolfie a home : http://animalcare.my/2010/06/rescued-female-dog-up-for-adoption.html

However, after a week or so, Wolfie came down with TVT, and her rescuer was contemplating to have Wolfie put down.

Just before that happened, guess what?  Someone called the clinic and offered to adopt Wolfie!

So, Wolfie has a home now, and her adopter will get her treated for the TVT.  By the way, TVT, in its initial stage, has a very high chance of recovery.

That was a close shave, but we are so glad that it ended happily for Wolfie.

We don’t know who this kind adopter is, but it could also be due to all of you forwarding the link and news about Wolfie to your respective network.

Sometimes, all it takes is the click of a few buttons, you can save lives.

As Mother Teresa says, “We cannot do big things, only small things with great love.”

Now, let’s click those few buttons and find a home for Blackie Boy and all these other animals who are looking for homes.
