Culcul’s post-mortem results

Culcul was a stray cat who was looked after by Julie’s neighbour.  He was found bleeding from the mouth last week and was brought to our panel vet for treatment.  However, it was too late to save Culcul.  After being put on drips to flush out the toxins for slightly more than a day, Culcul passed away.

The post-mortem revealed two possibilities.  It was either feline distemper or a case of poisoning (possibly rat poison).  The vet said it was one of the strangest cases he had ever seen.  Culcul’s heart and lungs were full of blood and his nose was full of mucus.

Culcul was buried this evening by Julie’s neighbour.  It was a very sad day for them.  The father was already digging the burial place in their garden when Julie brought Culcul’s remains back to them.  The children were waiting at the gate.

Culcul may have been a stray, but he was loved.

May Culcul be in a better existence now, free from pain and suffering.
