Shahila Shaifful rescued a cat who is suspected to have been hit by a vehicle a few days ago. The cat, whom Shahila calls “Orange”, was bleeding profusely from his right eye when he was found. A friend helped Shahila transport Orange to a vet in KL.
Apparently, Orange has more problems than just an eye injury.
1. Orange’s jaw is broken and surgery is needed to insert wires into the jaw.
2. One of Orange’s kidneys is not functioning anymore, and it is “expanding like a balloon”. His bladder tube is also blocked. Surgery is needed to rectify this.
3. After treatment and surgery, Orange needs a caregiver/fosterer.
Currently, Orange has been put on drips as he is severely dehydrated.
Here are some photos of Orange:
Shahila is appealing for donations because she is only a student and does not have the means to pay for Orange’s surgeries and treatment. The cost incurred in this first week is estimated to be RM200-300, and this is only for the hospitalisation, drips, medicines and treatment of the eye wound. Shahila does not have an estimate for the cost of the surgeries yet.
We will be helping Shahila with our funds but we might not be able to cover the entire cost, especially in view of the need for two surgeries. Shahila will be very grateful if anyone would like to chip in to help her out with the costs. Her contact no is 0193660153, and her email is sha_honey5566@yahoo.com.
Please contact Shahila directly if you can help out.
Get well soon, Orange.
