Ah Fatt rescued two stray dogs from the market area on Saturday.
The female will be spayed under our sponsorship today.
The male dog has an injury on his leg and will be monitored for a few more days.
There are so many stray animals out there who need help. Our long-term solution is to get as many spayed-neutered as possible so that their population will not keep rising. Rehoming and getting them adopted is another huge problem. How many can the shelters take in? How many can we adopt?
These stray animals are subject to so many dangers out there on the street. Some lucky ones may have that short-lived freedom of roaming and scavenging for food, but the moment a human lodges a complaint, the authorities will be quick to capture them and they would probably be put down.
Yet, every animal is a living being who deserves his/her place on this Earth.
Since we started this fund, we have been doing our part by providing free spay-neuter for these animals for two reasons – to control the population of the stray animals on the street, and also to reduce the financial burden on their rescuers.
