An urgent appeal to help Sara the dog

This is an urgent appeal from Jamie Khoo, liaison to H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche.  Kechara members rescued a female dog who was bleeding profusely from her anus and needed immediate surgery last night.

Jamie writes:

Yesterday evening, we heard that there was an urgent case of a dog who was bleeding profusely outside one of our departments. It turns out that this dog, named Sara now, had a prolapsed uterus and had lost almost 75% of her blood. She was urgently rushed to the Animal Hospital on Jalan Ipoh for a blood transfusion. As I type this, she is now getting surgery to remove the remaining part of her uterus as it was causing bloody poisoning and the doctors were worried about further contamination and infection. Her white blood count was very, very high so the doctors were very concerned about the risk of infection, and decided to go ahead with the surgery as they didn’t want to risk any further damage by waiting. Kah Yein, I’d like to request your help to please put up this story on your blog, as I am now trying to raise funds to help cover Sara’s medical bills.

Rinpoche has blogged about Sara and has many photos here:

There was a team there all night with her last night reciting mantras, which helped a lot – she seemed to be less stressed and could sit up and look around after repeated recitations of the mantra, so I believe the Buddhas were definitely there with her. Now, let’s just now that the surgery will go all 100% smoothly and she will recover quickly! If there is any way you could please help us to put up an appeal on your blog, I would be most, most grateful.

Thank you very much,

Love,
Jamie
