Amidst all the celebration today, our work goes on….
Mrs Yasodha, a cat-feeder, called me last week to help in the spaying of 4 female stray cats. Yesterday, she managed to catch 3 of them, and they were brought to our panel vet this morning.
Another black beauty?
And another one, with one more at the back.
The three cats appeared to be very tensed and nervous when I visited them at the vet. This is expected of stray cats because being caged and taken to an unknown place is indeed very traumatising for them.
However, it is important to get them spayed, or else they will breed regularly, and the stray population will increase. And, there will be so much suffering on the street.
Mrs Yasodha chipped in to the cost of spaying today while we covered the balance of the bill. We are thankful for this.
