We have been helping May, a rescuer from Ampang, with the cost of spaying-neutering of her neighbourhood cats. May and her mother does a lot of CNRM.
Yesterday, May sent another female cat to be spayed under our sponsorship. Agnes was helping out in this case, and just before going to the vet’s, she happened to explain the idea of CNRM to her friend, Mrs Toh.
Mrs Toh went home and told her daughter, Susan, about CNRM, and Susan immediately offered to pay for May’s cat!
So, May’s cat’s spaying is now fully sponsored by kind-hearted Susan Toh, not us.
What a beautiful heart! And a fine example of how we can work together in helping the animals. Sometimes, all it takes is just to spread the message, and someone else will be inspired to help. She, in turn, may inspire others as well.
Thank you, Susan and Agnes!
Never underestimate the power of the Ripple Effect….
Have you heard of the story of what happened at the Golden Gate Bridge in California, once upon a time?
A kind-hearted person decided to pay for the toll charges of the car behind him (this was way back in the days where there was no automated system and toll charges were paid in cash), and it created a wonderful ripple effect. The recipient of this small random act of kindness in turn paid the toll for the car behind, and this went on for FIVE hours, every driver paying for the car behind. They were paying the same toll, but not for themselves. It was for the car behind them, and that made them feel really good!
A random act of kindness can sometimes go a long way.
Merry Christmas, everyone.
And if you are travelling tomorrow, how about paying the toll for the car behind you?
