Isis, rescued cat, spayed

Today, another rescued female stray cat, was brought to our panel vet for spaying under our sponsorship.

Isis (her name now) was rescued by two college students, Crystal and Kenneth.

Here’s a short write-up from Crystal about Isis:

Around 3 week of November we found Isis as a 2 month+ old kitten at the side of the road in our neighborhood. She was all alone and look like she is in bad shape. We approached her to check on her and realized that she had skin problems and was very skinny and small. We decided to bring her back home and gave her some food and water. We brought her to the vet soon after and the vet told us she would need to be hospitalized for around 4 days which cost us around RM400+(student price), he asked if we really wanted to keep her, we decided to keep her. After we got her back from the vet 4 days later she looked much better and her skin problem was lessened. After staying with us for around 4 months she grew into a healthy playful cat that runs up and down the house in a frenzy, she is given the freedom to roam outside but she stays in the house most of the time.

Hello there, my name is Isis.  I used to live on the streets but now I live oh-so-comfortably in Kenneth’s loving home.  Yes, I get to lie on sofas and I even cross my legs!

And here’s more from Crystal.  Isis is the fourth cat she has rescued!

Thank you for the compliment, couldn’t bear to see a little kitten starve at the road side or die of disease, this is actually the 4th cat I rescued. (first one was the same case as isis, taken care of for a while and adopted by someone else, the second one was a cat that came up my doorstep, it was visibly in trouble due to the drunken way it walks and the head shakes around like a drug addict, brought it to vet and cost me around 600++ to bring it back to health but she was deaf, she lived with us for 7 months but passed away on the road one morning, the 3rd one was so terrible skinny and very bad shape that she passed away just days after she came to our house, glad she was able to have a full belly and care before she passed away, and now Isis is the most recent one) I’m not local (from Sabah) and I came here to study so money has always been an issue, but of course a life is much more important than money.

Thank you so much for the links I will read up on them. I too hope to lend a helping hand to the pets and strays around that has been abused by humans or has been fighting to live on…

AnimalCare is only too glad to help and support people who adopt street animals as pets.

Three cheers to Crystal and Kenneth!  So young, but all heart!

Isis has already been brought home now and Crystal will be seeing to her recovery.
