Two cats spayed-neutered

These are two cases brought in by Punitha on behalf of Jennifer, a cat-feeder.  The two cats, Big Mama and Sporty, have both been spayed-neutered, sponsored by our funds:

From Punitha:

Last Sunday, as mentioned, I went over to capture the feral mother cat (named Big Mama) and her three kittens (being fed by a lady named Jennifer). While luring the mama cat into my carrier, Jeniffer rushed along with another older male stray (named Sporty) and told me that he was from a first batch of kittens also born to Big Mama’s.

Sadly, his other siblings had been run over by vehicles at a young age, just like Big Mama’s current 4 kittens (there are just 3 left now, out of 7 little ones). I could see that it was a busy housing area. Jennifer asked for help with neutering, and I told her i’d try to get assistance.

While at the clinic, I was advised to keep Big Mama with her kittens for another week as the kittens seemed a little young. Sporty was boarded there for neutering.

Big Mama was very fierce at home, and it was a very difficult task for me to watch over the entire family. I could only place food and water near the door, and could not go in even to clean her litter box. Each time I took a step into the room, she would charge at me.

Last Friday, I managed trap her in my carrier and quick brought her in for spaying. Her kittens are currently with me and up for adoption. Their names are Claire, Prince and Meera (photos in next posting).
