Our panel vet had been so, so busy during this holiday period, I have not even got a chance to speak with him until today.
He told me this evening that one of Mrs Lim’s cats brought in for spaying a few days ago, had already been previously spayed.
Sigh….not again!
This would be our 4th case now.
We pay in full for such cases because the operation is done, and it actually requires more work to search for the uterus that isn’t there.
With more rescuers and NGOs going all out to spay-neuter and return to colony, I think we should all agree on ear-notching.
We do not want to subject the poor animal to being opened up twice (or thrice!) and waste hard-earned donations.
Ear-notching is compulsory for all cases that come under us.
