This is not about animals, rather, it is about doing something for the the needy and underpriviledged. It is so inspirational, I simply have to share it with the hope that it would inspire all of us to think of the less unfortunate, be it human or animal, and to do something beneficial for them, before it’s time for us to leave this world.

People often say that charity begins at home, that’s true, but it should not stop there.

Her message, “Please take every child as your own daughter” is extremely powerful.

That’s what unconditional loving-kindness is all about, and it is also this same kindness that motivates animal rescuers and animal charity workers to do what they do.

May you be inspired to reach out further to others, beyond family and friends; skin, fur, feathers and scales, and help them gain greater wellbeing.

“Take every animal as your own child.”

And remember, it’s never about numbers. Even if you can only save one cat or one dog in your entire life, you are a HERO in that one cat/dog’s eyes!

P.S. And let’s not wait till retirement or a “better time”. Life is short and unpredictable. Do it now, and should we die tomorrow, we’ve already left something good behind.
