Food donation for Meiji’s 125 dogs

Meiji Lai single-handedly runs a dog sanctuary up in the hills in Raub, which is currently home to 125 dogs.  She taps rubber to sustain the sanctuary.

We have been helping Meiji with the spay-neuter and medical needs of her dogs for two years now.  Meiji has since stopped taking in new dogs because her sanctuary is full, but she needs funds for the daily running of the sanctuary.  All her dogs are spayed-neutered and vaccinated.  She ferries the dogs all the way from Raub to vet clinics in the Klang Valley whenever medical attention is needed.

 Meiji, during an afternoon feed.
Every dog is happy and healthy.
The fact that the dogs are so people-friendly speaks volumes about how they are treated.

Meiji has 125 happy mouths to feed.

Since medical needs is not a major concern for Meiji now, what she needs is dogfood donation for the daily sustenance of the 125 dogs.

One of AnimalCare’s volunteers and strongest supporters, Mary Yap Mie Ling, is organising the next dogfood donation drive for Meiji’s 125 dogs.

If the amount is substantial enough, we’ll assist Mary in purchasing the dogfood and send it up to Meiji.  If it is not, Mary will channel the cash to Meiji and let her purchase her own food.

If you’d like to contribute towards this donation drive, please bank-in your contribution to:

Please follow-up with an email to Mary at maryyap@macp.com.my.

The last day for the collection is Friday, 1st July, 2011.

Meiji provides a safe and happy home to 125 rescued dogs where every dog has a name and every dog is loved.  Let us rejoice in the opportunity of being able to extend a little bit of help to Meiji’s noble endeavour.

Thank you.
